River Bolt is currently acting as the Temporary Prevention and Outreach Program Coordinator for HEP, and can be found working the front desk or handing out supplies during street outreach. A proud queer Southerner from Little Rock, they first cut their teeth in harm reduction as a founding member of the first harm reduction nonprofit in their home state, Central Arkansas Harm Reduction Project. They are passionate about mutual aid and community care, which has led them to work in many types of public service beyond harm reduction: teaching gardening, supporting unhoused LGBTQ youth, working at a public library, and more. If they aren’t working, River is probably reading a book, on a road trip, checking out some live music, or knee deep in a creek somewhere trying to get a closer look at a weird plant.
