Together, we have the power to eliminate viral hepatitis in the United States.

For the first time since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, HEP is beginning to welcome volunteers back into our space.

If you’re interested in volunteering with us in the near future, please express your interest through our general listing on VolunteerMatch, and we’ll be in touch with new, concrete opportunities soon!

If your mutual aid group is interested in collaborating with HEP and receiving supplies for outreach, please fill out our mutual aid request form and someone will be in touch with you soon!

HEP has accepted practicum students in the areas of nursing, social work, and public health. For current opportunities, please check with your school’s practicum program, or reach out to hepinfo@hep.org if we are not a current site for your program.

Due to the size of our organization and the availability of preceptors on staff, we are limited in the number of practicum students we can host each year.

HEP’s board plays an integral role in the management of HEP including supporting fiscal responsibility, strategic planning, fundraising, and overall agency direction. The board is currently recruiting new board members with experience and expertise in these areas and with lived experience with viral hepatitis or drug use.

If interested, please email our Executive Director, Apoorva Mallya (apoorvam[at]hep.org), who can answer questions and provide you with application materials.

Full-time HEP employees enjoy competitive salaries, 100% employer paid health insurance for employees, generous PTO, employer matched 401K, $1000 per year to be used towards professional development, among other benefits.
